(“Company”) is an energy infrastructure holding company that conducts high-quality operations in both regulated and unregulated businesses by providing clean and affordable natural gas services and building energy infrastructure. Regulated Natural Gas LDC Operations
Southwest Gas Corporation is engaged in the business of purchasing, distributing, and transporting natural gas in portions of Arizona, California, and Nevada, serving over 2 million customers. Southwest Gas is the largest distributor of natural gas in Arizona and Nevada, serving large metropolitan areas including Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. In addition, Southwest Gas serves customers in portions of California, including the Lake Tahoe area, and the high desert and mountain areas in San Bernardino County.
Southwest Gas also owns Great Basin Gas Transmission Company, which owns and operates an interstate pipeline system that extends from the Idaho-Nevada border to the California-Nevada state line near the north and south ends of Lake Tahoe. Great Basin also operates a peak shaving LNG storage facility near Lovelock, Nevada.
Southwest Gas Corporation is dedicated to building positive relationships with customers, regulators, and the general public. Further, Southwest Gas is committed to earning customers’ trust by delivering natural gas safely and reliably.
Unregulated Utility Services Enterprise
Centuri Group, Inc. is a comprehensive utility services enterprise dedicated to delivering a diverse array of solutions to North America’s gas and electric providers. This growing network of well-established brands include NPL, NPL Canada, Neuco, Canyon Pipeline, Linetec Services, National Powerline, and Riggs Distler. Centuri Group, Inc. operates in major markets across the United States and Canada.
In March of 2022, Southwest Gas Holdings announced that as part of a strategy to unlock additional value for shareholders, it has decided to separate its wholly-owned subsidiary, Centuri Group, Inc., from the Company. The separation is expected to occur within 9 to 12 months from announcement. As a standalone, independent company, Centuri, an unregulated utility services platform diversified across the U.S. and Canada, will be an industry leader at the forefront of infrastructure modernization. Centuri is positioned to support the energy transition given its extensive infrastructure capabilities and attractive blue-chip customer base comprised of a diverse range of utilities.
